Design & Build Quality: Covered in an all-black matte finish, the MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WiFi ATX presents itself in a simple yet effective manner, with a durable 6-layer PCB. I wouldn’t have minded RGB elements, but its design still excels at showcasing a sophisticated look that will go well with most builds out there.

Cons
Design & Build Quality: The strong contrast in the black and white finish and the diagonal stripes traversing through the heatsink make the ROG Strix B760-A Gaming’s design one of the best in the market on top of its solid build quality. Another thing I liked is that ASUS has not gone too overboard with the RGB.
Performance: Moving on, the ASUS ROG Strix B760-A Gaming features a 12+1 Power phase design with each phase rated at 55 Amps, which proved more than enough for the i5-13600 in my testing. Furthermore, the modestly sized heatsinks present next to the rear I/O are responsible for cooling down the VRMs.
Features & Connectivity: Speaking of M.2 slots, ASUS has included a total of three PCIe Gen 4 M.2 slots, along with four SATA ports. I liked to see that the incredibly convenient M.2 Q-Latch was included, too. It shows a fairly standard PCIe configuration and DDR4 speeds up to 5333 MHz.
The balancing contrast between the black PCB and the white heatsinks in this motherboard is absolutely stellar, making it a killer white motherboard for your white-themed build.

Our Criteria For Selecting The Best B760 Motherboard
Here are a few factors I considered when compiling our list for the Best B760 Motherboard in 2022.
- VRM: An efficient VRM ensures a stable flow of voltage to your processor, allowing it to operate normally at any given clock speed. In addition to that, a reliable VRM also increases the overclocking potential in a processor.
- Overclocking potential: As mentioned previously, the overclocking potential comes down to a few factors, which include an efficient and reliable VRM as well as a capable cooling solution.
- Heatsink – Cooling: A well-equipped cooling solution allows your components to maintain stable temperatures, giving them enough thermal headroom to function properly. You should also look for M.2 heatsinks if you’re sporting an M.2 SSD.
- Features: There are a few things that you should look out for in a motherboard. Storage, network capabilities, and connectivity options all play huge roles in impacting the flexibility and future upgradability of the motherboard.
- Price: The price of your motherboard entirely depends on the features it comes with. Value-oriented chipsets such as the B760 come at a significantly reduced price due to their reduced set of features.
Yes, B760 Motherboards come with DDR4 and DDR5 variants; Considering that B760 motherboards utilize the LGA 1700 socket, they can’t necessarily be called future-proof; however, DDR5 support does slightly increase future upgradability. Yes, B760 motherboards are capable of utilizing the 12900k; however, it is recommended to opt for a higher-end motherboard for the i9-12900K.Frequently Asked Questions
