After flagship and high-end graphics cards in the GeForce RTX 40-series, now it’s time for the launch of mid-range graphics cards. A reliable source Kopite7Kimi confirmed the specification of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060.
There will be two models for the GeForce RTX 4060, just like its predecessor, and will include a Ti version. The x60 series graphics cards from Nvidia has always been identified with two SKUs, including 104 or 106 die; this time around, Nvidia is going with a new 107 SKU.
The source also reports that Nvidia will use the AD107-400-A1 GPU for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. The AD107-400-A1 GPU is a mobile variant used in laptops, featuring 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.
The 8 GB GDDR6 memory will run at a memory speed of 18 Gbps across a 128-bit bus interface, giving the GeForce RTX 4060 a total of 288 GB/s bandwidth.
RTX 4060 still uses PG190.

There is no information on how the new card from Nvidia would perform, but the performance should be right up there with the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. The only disappointing factor about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is its memory size, which is 4 GB less than the GeForce RTX 3060.
At the same time, current AAA titles, including Hogwarts Legacy, have memory requirements above 10 GB. Furthermore, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 is expected to have a TDP of just 115W, similar to the mobile variant.
Nvidia is yet to announce both the GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti for desktops, but judging from the flow of current rumors, do expect an official announcement from Nvidia in a month or so.
