Addresses Issues About Memory, Performance, And More!

The Last of Us franchise has been one of the most beloved IPs on the PlayStation. The franchise has received critical acclaim for its intriguing story and beautiful visuals.

When it was announced that The Last Of Us Part 1 would be making its way to the PC platform, the announcement was immediately met with great enthusiasm, and the game was eventually released a few days ago on March 28.

However, it fell short of players’ expectations upon launch due to numerous performance issues, visual glitches, and crashes. As a result, the game has been bombarded with negative reviews.

But it appears that the developers are aware of the issues and are working on them, as Naughty Dog recently published a new patch for The Last Of Us Part 1 for the PC that addresses memory, performance, and more.

The patch reduced the size of the PSO cache, added more diagnostics, increased the memory available for animation streaming, and fixed the startup crash.

Naughty Dog is also investigating issues related to the incredibly long shader building times and a potential memory leak. Furthermore, the developers are working on many other known issues, which will hopefully be fixed.

While it has not been an excellent launch for the PC version of The Last Of Us Part 1, it led to a few good chuckles through a low-resolution version of Joel, which went viral and became a meme.

We are looking forward to the future of the PC version of The Last Of Us Part 1. Multiple patches have already been released, and the developers could soon fix the port if they keep up this pace.

On that note, what do you think about the PC version of The Last Of Us Part 1 receiving a patch to fix multiple issues in the game? Let us know in the comments section.
