According to IGN, the Entertainment Software Association(ESA) announced today to its member that this year’s Electronic Expo (E3) has been canceled as many big names in the industry, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and Ubisoft, have decided not to be a part of this event, or some will have their events in June or July.
Production is ramping up on our biggest @SummerGameFest ever – the video game industry comes together this June, kicking off live from @youtubetheater on Thursday, June 8.

The cancellation of the E3 event can be confirmed by the email sent to its participants today. According to the email;
the 2023 version “simply did not garner the sustained interest necessary to execute it in a way that would showcase the size, strength, and impact of our industry.”
On June 13-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the event was going to take place and would have been the first E3 event that could be attended in person since 2019. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic, while a digital event was held in 2021, and in 2022, the event was canceled again.
Just like last year, the legendary event will again be “replaced” by Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley. The event will be on YouTube’s grand theater on June 8 and promises to be far better than last year.
