More AMD Radeon 8000G APU Leaks Show Up From Asus & ASRock

New AMD APUs Expected To Be Revealed Soon!

AMD Ryzen 8000G “Hawk Point” desktop APUs are anticipated to be unveiled in late January. However, a good deal of information has already been leaked online.

The specifications and benchmarks of numerous SKUs in the lineup were made public by a Persian tech blog post last month. A few more leaks appear to have both validated and expanded on those facts.

The most recent details were revealed by @momomo_us and found on Asus and ASRock’s official listings. According to the listings, the AMD Ryzen 8000G APU is built on the B2 stepping of Phoenix.

The Ryzen 8700G will be the flagship chip in the new Ryzen 8000G lineup. This new APU consists of 8 cores and 16 threads, featuring a base frequency of 4.2 GHz, a boost frequency of 5.1 GHz, 16MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 65W.

The cherry on top is probably the Radeon 780M iGPU, which, coupled with the faster single-core performance of Ryzen 8000 architecture, should provide better results in current-gen titles.

The GPU performance of the Radeon 780M is considered to be on par with cards like the GTX 1650/1050 Ti/1060 3GB or the Radeon RX 570. This should make it suitable for casual gaming and light tasks.

With a base and boost frequency of 4.3/5.0 GHz, 16MB of L3 cache, 65W TDP, and an integrated Radeon 760M GPU, the Ryzen 5 8600G is expected to be the next chip in the Ryzen 800G lineup. It features a total of 6 cores and 12 threads.

The Ryzen 8500G, on the other hand, features 6 cores and 12 threads. However, the base frequency is reduced while the boost frequency remains at 3.55/5.0 GHz. It also includes the integrated Radeon 740M graphics card.

Lastly, we have the quad-core Ryzen 3 8300G. This will be a weaker 35W TDP quad-core CPU boasting Radeon 740M graphics. Other than these specifications, earlier rumors pointed to Hawk Point APUs using RDNA 3 graphics and Zen 4 cores.

Additionally, they might make use of the current AM5 socket, which is compatible with AMD’s desktop Ryzen 7000 series.
