Story Highlights
  • Summer Game Fest 2024 will officially go live on June 7 in LA at 2 PM PT.

With 2024 quickly heading toward summer, one of the biggest showcases of the industry, Summer Game Fest, has received a new date. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the event, just like last year’s, will go on for 2 hours.

Why it matters: Since the cancellation of E3, Summer Game Fest has been the biggest showcase of the summer. Its latest date means we can expect new announcements and a deeper look into already announced games by that time of the year again.

Throughout the runtime, Summer Game Fest will offer exclusive gameplay, new reveals, trailers, and much more.

This year’s event will be held on June 7 and can be streamed through YouTube, Twitch, and more. The showcase will go live from the LA at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. It will be 2 hours long, and you can sign up right now to learn more about the event.

Geoff Keighley has not brought any news of what announcements to expect, but we can take a rough guess. We expect to see something from the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion due to Geoff Keighley’s history with FromSoftware titles.

The expansion was announced last month and will be just two weeks away when Summer Game Fest goes live.

In addition, we might see more of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The title will boast a humongous roster of 164 characters at launch, and it received the first gameplay trailer last year at Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards.

However, these are the games that we already know well. There are many more projects in the pipeline, and we hope to see more updates on them.

For instance, Monolith’s Wonder Woman game, first showcased during The Game Awards, could be an exciting reveal at Summer Game Fest 2024.

This event has become huge since E3’s demise, and last year’s showcase reportedly garnered over 34 million views. With games like Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, and more setting expectations high in 2023, we can’t wait to see what lies in store this year.
