After a long wait, gamers will finally receive some good news. As the market between AMD and Intel becomes more competitive, consumers may be able to profit from the lower pricing due to this competition. We finally have information about It as recently a leaker has reported that AMD is planning to release not one but 4 in total CPUs in the market this month.

AMD is expected to hit two more 6-core Ryzen 5000 SKUs: Ryzen 5 5500 and Ryzen 5 5600, according to MEGAsizeGPU. While the clock rates of both parts are unknown, there is one significant difference: the Ryzen 5 5500 will have six cores and six threads in it. It’s most likely a lower-binned Ryzen 5 5600/5600X with slowed clocks, and it’ll perform accordingly. The SKU will cost roughly $100 and is AMD’s response to the Intel Core i3-12100. . The lack of a Ryzen 3-branded desktop CPU is surprising, mainly because the laptop version has been available for quite some time.

AMD will also release the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 96MB of total L3 cache later this month. This Zen3 release for the desktop AM4 socket appears to be the final significant update before AMD changes to AM5 and the Ryzen 7000 Zen4 “Raphael” architecture.

While the Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, and Ryzen 5 5500 will appeal to budget-conscious PC builders, many will wait for the newer Zen 4 chips to arrive, owing to the AM4 to AM5 socket switch. This isn’t the first time a rumour concerning low-cost AMD chips has arisen on the internet.

AMD has always been back and forth with Intel, and this leak proves that as the earlier release and pricepoint of these processors suggest, they are going head to head against Intel for the processor market. As the market starts to normalize with its price and chip shortages, both companies are looking to take advantage of it by targeting budget segment consumers who have been in dire need of an upgrade and waiting for the market to normalize.

It seems like a golden opportunity for both companies. As mentioned earlier, consumers will benefit from this tense situation between the companies. This will result in much better and more competitive prices and even more offers later in the future if this competition increases after the actual release of AMD processors.
