Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was released back in 2019 and quickly became a fan favorite Star Wars game. The game featured engaging lightsaber combat, beautiful environments, and epic boss battles delivering exactly what many had wanted from a Star Wars game. Jedi Fallen Order went on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide and thus a sequel was all but confirmed.
While we have known about a sequel being in the works for a while, a new rumor suggests that the sequel to the critically acclaimed game will be revealed much sooner than expected. According to games journalist Jeff Grub, the sequel to Jedi Fallen Order will be shown at the Star Wars Celebration event that runs from May 26 to May 29. This also makes sense if we take into account the fact that EA play for this year has already been canceled.
On a recent GamesBeat Decides podcast, Jeff Grubb stated:
“Weāre gonna hear about that in May at THE Star Wars Celebration. Thatās when thatās coming. So keep an eye out for that, because thatās when itās happening.”
This was in response to a question about a Jedi Fallen Order sequel as seen in the video below:
This is sure to get fans excited as many have been patiently waiting to return to the Jedi Fallen Order universe since 2019. Jedi Fallen Order introduced a fan-favorite villain towards the end and the prospect of expanding on that teaser is enthralling in and of itself. With Respawn Entertainment at the helm of the sequel, the game is in good hands and could very well be a worthy successor to the first entry.
Respawn Entertainment has also been working on another Star Wars shooter game alongside a sequel to Fallen Order. With the upcoming release of the Star Wars Lego game and rumors spicing up about an imminent reveal for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2, fans can expect to have their hands full with new content in the coming months.
