It seems like AMD is going to give everything to compete with Intel 13th Generation Raptor Lake processors. According to recent leaks, AMD’s next-Generation Ryzen 7000 Raphael series processors will feature up to 24 cores with clock speeds of up to 5.4 GHz.

RedGamingTech and ZhongZheng Evaluation revealed that there will be at least four different CPUs in the Ryzen 7000 lineup, where the Chinese media expands with these names: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X, and Ryzen 5 7600X.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Specifications:

Starting with the flagship CPU, the Ryzen 9 7950X, would feature 24 cores and 48 threads matching Raptor Lake’s 24 cores (8 p-cores, 16 e-cores) with 32 threads. In addition, the increase in L3 cache memory and IPC of the new AMD architecture should be added. However, before this statement, we have to take into account that for 24 cores we would need three Zen 4 chiplets + 1 IOD (Machine Learning), in a size similar to existing AM4 CPUs.

The Ryzen 9 7950X is expected to reach up to 5.4 GHz in turbo mode for a single core, increasing its frequency by 10% compared to the Ryzen 9 5950X. As for the TDP, this would be 125-170W.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Specifications:

After the flagship CPU, we have the Ryzen 9 7900X, which could end up with 12 or 16 cores/24 or 32 threads, depending on how many cores the Ryzen 9 7950X ultimately has. It would run at a speed of 5.3 GHz for turbo mode of a single core, a TDP of 105-170W, and a price of 599 dollars. This would have about a 15-25% performance boost over a Ryzen 9 5900X, which is currently on sale for $450.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X and Ryzen 5 7600X Specifications:

The Ryzen 7 7800X will arrive with 8 cores, 16 threads, and 5.2 GHz in turbo mode for a single core. The price would be around 499 dollars; being priced similarly to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D currently on the market.

Finally, the Ryzen 5 7600X will be equipped with 6 cores, and 12 threads at 5.1 GHz with turbo on one core. Its price would be $349, quite expensive considering that the Ryzen 5 5600X is currently sold for $199.

So these would be the initial family of AMD Ryzen 7000 that we would see in a few months. Of course, because it is information leaked from the preliminary testing chips before the launch, the specifications, especially in clock speed, can change at the last minute. In any case, this would not be the entire family, since we will also see the non-X models, but their launch is expected to take place a few months later.

AMD has not provided any specific release date for Ryzen 7000 series processors, next-Gen Zen 4 processors are expected to arrive in early 2H of 2022 (most probably July-2022).
