Inscryption is a horror roguelike deck-building game that pits players against an enigmatic entity as they construct their decks, work through riddles, and complete tasks. The primary focus of the gameplay is on employing animal-themed cards that slash, bite, or divebomb opponents’ cards to defeat them.

The game was first made available for Microsoft Windows on October 19, 2019, then ported to Linux and macOS on June 22, 2022. After seeing it in action, console fans were eager to play the game, but sadly, the console version is not currently available.

The Console fans’ prayers were answered when we heard that Inscryption was finally being ported to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game is currently up for pre-orders for PlayStation 5 on the PlayStation store. The release date of the game is given as August 30, 2022.

Inscryption has recently received a Mature 17+ rating from the ESRB for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. ESRB gave this rating in light of the game’s blood, strong language, and violence, which could have a negative impact on the younger generation.

While Inscryption being ported to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is excellent news for PlayStation fans, the Xbox and Nintendo Switch fans are disappointed as there has been no word of the game being transferred to Xbox or Nintendo Switch yet. However, this may change in the future.

We expect the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game to perform similarly to how Inscryption performed among fans who played the game on PC, Linux, and macOS. We also hope that the game will be ported to Xbox consoles shortly.

On that note, what do you think about Inscryption being ported to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5? Will you be playing it? Let us know in the comments section.
