PlayStation fans have been desperate to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 since it was first revealed in November of 2020; due to the console’s severe shortage, not everyone even still got the opportunity to play on it.

However, this problem is improving as PlayStation 5 supply shortages are finally improving, and the majority will now be able to enjoy the PlayStation 5 experience.

While this is excellent news, the problems are not over yet, because Sony announced that they would be raising the price of the PlayStation 5 to 549.99 euros from 499.99 euros previously in Europe and other Countries including Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada

Sony also stated that there would be no price change in the United States. The new prices for the console in the following locations are shown below;

When it seemed like the situation was finally getting better with more PlayStation 5 consoles being supplied, the high cost of these consoles is currently the issue. Although many people may find this unpleasant, Sony has no choice but to make this move, given the current state of the World Economy.

We hope we see the prices decrease in the future, as many fans are excited to play on the PlayStation 5 console, especially when games like God Of War Ragnarok and much more releasing later this year.

This is the limited information we have now, but we will look for more news regarding the PlayStation 5. On that note, what do you think about Sony increasing the prices of the PlayStation 5? Let us know in the comments section.
