It is a good time for survival horror fans with all the new games surrounding the genre; Resident Evil 4 Remake, Silent Hill: The Short Message, Dead Space Remake, and The Callisto Protocol. The Callisto Protocol is one of the most anticipated horror games of this year, being developed by Striking Dance Studios.

It’s a single-player, story-driven, survival horror game set in 2030 on the dead Jupiter Moon of Callisto. The protagonist will explore a Black Iron Prison on the dead moon like Issac is stuck in USG Ishimura in Dead Space.

Fans are excited about the game and eagerly waiting to experience it, some rumors were circulating on the internet yesterday that The Callisto Protocol is most likely to be delayed till February 2023, but luckily this is not the case.

The developer took to Twitter to clarify that the game will be shipped on its intended release date, 2nd December, and further, they added that the game would also feature a 60FPS performance mode.

It’s mainly due to the recent controversy surrounding the true next-gen games like A Plague Tale: Requiem and Gotham Knights, which lack the 60FPS mode on the current-gen consoles; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is indeed a relief for the fans that the game is releasing at its intended time and a bonus that it will have a 60FPS performance mode that fans are craving recently in story-driven games.

While there are various similarities between Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol, the most obvious one is the deep space setting and claustrophobic environment, the creative director Glen Schofield has pointed out the main highlight of the title; the game’s melee and stealth-oriented gameplay that also has a skill tree to enhance your capabilities in the game further.

Undoubtedly, The Callisto Protocol is an exciting upcoming horror survival experience that is not for the faint-hearted. The Callisto Protocol will be released on 2nd December 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Are you excited about the game?
