Unlike Nvidia with GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards, AMD has been reportedly working on securing Radeon RX 7900 stocks to tackle the graphics cards shortage issue at launch next month.

According to the foreign source MyDrivers, AMD has secured RDNA 3 RX 7900 stocks next month on 13th December to ensure that gamers do not have to deal with GPU shortage like every other launch until now.

AMD RX 7900 series will include two new offerings, including the Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX, both of which will reportedly be available in abundance.

Nvidia has successfully shipped around 160,000 units of its GeForce RTX 4000 series, among which more than 80% of units were of GeForce RTX 4090, while the rest include shipment for the GeForce RTX 4080. This should not surprise anyone because of how Nvidia decided to price the GeForce RTX 4080 compared to GeForce RTX 4090. Even though the GeForce RTX 4080 saw a much lower shipment quantity from Nvidia, it can still be found in abundance online and on shelves in the market.

Nvidia not doing so well with the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB also gives a huge advantage to AMD, as it further proves that the red team was successful with the placement of its Radeon RX 7900 graphics cards. AMD also stated that its Radeon RX 7900 XTX will directly target the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, costing $1000. This makes the Radeon RX 7900 XTX not only $200 cheaper, but it also offers 8GB of extra VRAM.

Suppose the claims that AMD made about the performance of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX are valid. In that case, it will be an excellent option for gamers refraining from getting their hands on the GeForce RTX 4080 because of its price-to-performance value, which makes the $1600 price tag on the GeForce RTX 4090 sound like a bargain deal.

What are your thoughts on the Radeon RX 7900 series graphics card? Will you prefer RX 7900 XTX over Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 this year? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
