Last month during an earnings call conference, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that Rockstar would continue to support GTA Online with seasonal updates and additional content to keep the gaming experience fresh. The existing bugs and issues would also be resolved.
To better understand the needs of GTA Online players, Rockstar also conducted a survey which later turned out to be related to Rockstar’s subscription service GTA+, which provides extra perks and benefits to its subscribers in GTA Online.
It was also reported that GTA Online would be getting its winter update on 13th December, and Michael could be returning to the game, but the contents of the Winter update were still unknown.
However, a data miner Gaming Detective claims that the Winter Update for GTA Online will include a new fast-traveling feature across the map, new dead drop collectibles, and a new property that will introduce a new character; Dax and Wade could also be making a comeback from the single player mode.

Famous Rockstar leaker, Tez2 has already mentioned that the survey that Rockstar conducted was related to GTA+, and players were asked whether a new official fast-traveling feature would please them.
Later, he revealed that this new feature would be a taxi service that only GTA+ subscribers can avail of in addition to the existing subscription benefits.

All these contents revealed by Gaming Detective and Tez2 are rumors, and Rockstar confirms nothing about what the winter update and DLC will offer to the players. So it will be wise to take this news with a grain of salt until further confirmation from Rockstar.
Still, it will be interesting to see what new additions the second update of the year will have for the fans and whether it will solve the complaints of the players or not.
