Far Cry 6
- Starting, we saw that the average FPS from Ryzen 7 5800x continues to linger around 98 FPS in Far Cry 6. On the flip side, the Ryzen 9 5900x is also going impressively, offering 106 FPS.
- Moving on to the %1 lows, we notice that the Ryzen 9 5900X dominates with a staggering 73 FPS, followed by the Ryzen 7 5800X’s 56 FPS.
Forza Horizon 5
- We witnessed that the average FPS of 115 FPS is the same on both processors, technically giving Ryzen 7 5800x an edge.
- When we move to the Low 1% performance, it is much better on the Ryzen 7 5800x at 65 FPS, whereas the same is at 43 FPS on the Ryzen 9 5900x.
New World
- It continued to get worse for 5900x in our New World benchmark as it scored only 159 FPS against 5800x’s 165 FPS on average.
- However, the Ryzen 9 5900x did bring some heat back at 5800x with a Low 1% of 93 FPS, while the Ryzen 7 5800x was very disappointing with a 1% Low of just 62 FPS.
Fortnite
- We witnessed in the Fortnite benchmarks that Ryzen 7 5800x just beat Ryzen 9 5900x by producing 11 FPS more on average i.e. 136 FPS vs 125 FPS.
- Moreover, the Low 1% performance is also quite similar on both CPUs in our Fortnite benchmark, with only a slight difference of 4 FPS.
GTA V
- In GTA V benchmarks, the Ryzen 9 5900x wasn’t able to make a return, and performances remained similar on both CPUs, even at 1440p.
- The Low 1% is better on the Ryzen 7 5800x as it scored 86 FPS. Meanwhile, much to our disappointment, the Ryzen 9 5900X lagged with 75 FPS.
Age Of Empires 4
- The performance from both CPUs is still great in Age Of Empires IV, as both offer 162 FPS at this resolution, leaving us amazed at the results.
- On the other hand, the Low 1% is only 105 FPS on Ryzen 9 5900x compared to 113 FPS on Ryzen 7 5800x. This is a small difference and shouldn’t affect gameplay much.
Hitman 3
- When we ran Hitman 3 on both CPUS, we found that the Ryzen 9 5900x is the better performer, offering 179 FPS compared to 174 FPS on 5800x, which is a very small difference.
- The 1% readings are better on Ryzen 9 5900x. It offers 135 FPS compared to 129 FPS on Ryzen 7 5800x. Overall, at 1440p resolution, both CPUs offer great performance in Hitman 3.
