AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Has Already Been Discounted To $859

The new AMD Radeon RX 7000 series offer an excellent price to performance options over its counterpart, but what if the price was reduced even further? Biostar has done just that and is now selling the Reference AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT at a discounted price on Newegg.

The Reference variant of AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is available for just $859. Biostar is also the first AIB partner from AMD to offer a discount for the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT over its retail price of $899. With a price tag of $859, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is now a direct competitor against the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti from Nvidia.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT might not be as strong as the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti with Ray Tracing enabled, but when it comes to rasterization performance, AMD is the clear winner in the majority of the titles.

The Radeon RX 7900 XT also offers more memory and comes with 20GB VRAM compared to just 12 GB on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. Furthermore, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT also relies on the standard PCIe power connector, which is a plus point, since Nvidia has been getting a lot of problems by going with the new 16-pin power connector on the GeForce RTX 4000 series.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT was launched last year in December. The graphics card also uses the standard cooling solution, unlike the vapor chamber cooler found on the Reference AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX. That said, users should not be worried about the cooling issue found on some Reference AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX models.

For anyone not looking to spend a lot and have a good 4k gaming experience should go with the discounted Biostar Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card. Currently, the cheapest GeForce RTX 4080 available on the market is $1200, while the most affordable GeForce RTX 4070 Ti would set you back $830 but offers less VRAM.

In the end, it all comes down to the user’s choice. What would you go for when buying a new graphics card?
