Hands-On Impressions Also Coming!

Story Highlight
  • Ubisoft is set to host its annual showcase next month.
  • Reliable sources claim that Assassin’s Creed Red will get a gameplay reveal at the showcase, in addition to a hands-on demo for the press.
  • They also speculate that the game may launch in 2025 instead of 2024.

Assassin’s Creed Red is set to be an ambitious undertaking for the folks at Ubisoft. The game is said to feature a male samurai and female shinobi, gameplay based on a completely new engine, and a bigger open world than any previous game.

For all these promising leaks, Ubisoft has little to show so far. That said, the long-awaited gameplay reveal seems to be set for next week. At Ubisoft Forward 2024, Assassin’s Creed Red gameplay will be revealed, so the next month is highly anticipated.

Why it matters: Many players have high hopes for Assassin’s Creed in Japan, so Ubisoft can finally redeem itself with this potential blockbuster.

Ubisoft Has Many Games Lined Up For Its Showcase

Insider Gaming, one of the most reliable sources in the gaming industry, has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Red will be one of the many games featured at Ubisoft Forward.

According to the report, the press will be able to play the game during the same week. This will be followed by previews and coverage from various websites, revealing a plethora of information about Assassin’s Creed’s Japanese outing.

Since the studio typically likes to reveal extensive gameplay videos for its titles at Ubisoft Forward, we expect around 10 minutes of gameplay. This should be enough to highlight basic elements like the parkour, combat, and certain story elements.

The event is set to take place on June 10, so there is just over a month left.

The source also speculates that Assassin’s Creed Red may not be launched this year.

While Ubisoft has heavily teased the contrary, reports have not been able to confirm a release window. Regardless, this should be cleared up at Ubisoft Forward next month.

We are looking forward to the next month as there are going to be many memorable reveals. This new information has just added to our excitement, which was already quite high.

Assassin’s Creed Red will be one of the many games to show up over the next few weeks. However, since a Japanese setting for this series has been a long time coming, Ubisoft’s work is very high up on our list of anticipated reveals.
