Pros
Cons
Coming encapsulated in a sleek grey finish, it immediately sets itself from the competition. Its profound grey aesthetic is adorned by the minimalistic RGB elements that have been added to all three of the fans. Not only that, two RGB bars can be seen running down each side of the card. Equipped with Sapphire’s Vapor-X cooling system, it is a far better performer than most other cards available. The Tri-X cooling solution consists of a Wave Fin Design, a die-cast magnesium alloy frame, as well as composite heat pipes. Its bulky heatsink is further reinforced with a robust metal backplate with multiple vents for better airflow.
Uncovering the shroud reveals the card’s tightly packed PCB, consisting of a 20-phase VRM design. Backing up its extraordinary VRM configuration are the conductive polymer aluminum capacitors which ensure a stable flow of voltage. All of that is packed into a 14-layer 2oz Copper PCB, for further reliability.
What Makes It The Best High-Performance RX 7900 XT Graphics Card?
One look at the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XT, and it becomes apparent that Sapphire has outdone itself with this variant. Its high boost clock speeds of 2560 MHz, coupled with its extraordinary 20-phase VRM design, make it the best high-performance RX 7900 XT graphics card.

Pros
Cons
The Red Devil Radeon RX 7900 XT sports a metal back plate with multiple cut-outs for increased airflow. An RGB Red Devil logo can also be found on the backplate, giving the card an aggressive look. Alongside that, a modestly sized RGB bar can also be located on top of the GPU, spanning the entire length of the card. Contributing to its solid cooling performance are the eight 6mm heat pipes and the Vertical Fin Heatsink, which effectively dissipates heat. It also features a total of 3x 100mm fans on the front shroud. The fans are equipped with Japanese Dual Ball bearings and a ring-blade fan design for better airflow.
The PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT also benefits from an outstanding 11+3+1 Phase VRM setup, backed up with their premium 14-layer PCB. The PowerColor Red Devil Radeon RX 7900 XT is also a factory-overclocked card, clocking in at 2535 MHz.

PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
Best Value RX 7900 XT Graphics Card
Specifications: Dimensions: 276 x 112 x 51 mm | Boost Clock: 2400 MHz | Power Connectors: 2 x 8-pin | RGB: None | Display Outputs: 1 x HDMI 2.1, 2 x DisplayPort 2.1, 1 x Type-C | Recommended PSU: 750W
Pros
Although the design is not particularly innovative, the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XT still maintains a decent all-black look, which is complemented by the red stripes on each side. It is worth noting that no RGB is present on the card. Occupying three slots for installation, the Radeon RX 7900 XT is definitely smaller compared to other aftermarket variants. While its cut-downs compared to the higher-end Red Devil variants are undeniable, it still provides capable cooling with an adequately sized vapor chamber heatsink.
Its VRM configuration is fairly standard, consisting of a 14+3 phase VRM design. Power is delivered through the standard dual 8-pin connectors, which can be found at the top-right corner of the card. Decent performance can be expected from the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XT thanks to its boost clock speeds of 2400 MHz.
Although the PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XT may seem a bit basic in its appearance, it still delivers adequate cooling performance and a respectable overclocking headroom, making it a superb pick-up if you don’t want to spend a lot on an aftermarket variant.

Gaming Benchmarks
The RX 7900 XT is an excellent option for 1440p to even 4K gaming, but how well does it perform against its predecessor and the likes of NVIDIA’s RTX 40-series? To find out, our gaming experts tested these graphics cards at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K.
How We Tested & Picked The Best RX 7900 XT Graphics Cards
Before you make a graphics card purchase, remember to factor in the following key considerations.
- VRM: VRM or Voltage Regulator Modules are responsible for maintaining stable voltage flow to your GPU. Although most users might be oblivious to their importance, they play a huge role in determining the overall life-span and overclocking potential of your card.
- Power limit: Speaking of overclocking potential, your card’s Power Limit also plays a huge role in affecting it. Cards with higher overall power limits allow users to push their clock speeds way past their limits as long as they are backed up with sufficient cooling.
- Aesthetics: Aesthetics play an important role in selecting a GPU as well. While users prefer GPUs with illuminated sides and RGB linings, others might prefer a minimalistic, sleek, brushed, finished appearance for their GPU. That said, at the end of the day, it all boils down to personal preference.
- Cooler: Every capable graphics card needs to be paired with an equally effective cooling system. For this, an optimal and efficient heatsink installed in a GPU is always recommended so the temperatures are controlled even in the highest workloads. Many brands offer additional cooling solutions for other models of their GPUs.
- Temperatures: As mentioned previously, maintaining reasonable temperatures is crucial for a graphics card. Cards that operate at higher GPU temperatures are at risk of running into thermal throttling issues, reducing their overall performance as a result.
