Corsair has just launched its new VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM modules, 48GB (2x 24GB) sticks with 7000MT/s speed alongside the 192GB (4x 48GB) kit with 5200MT/s speed.
Corsair has also been working with ASUS to make these new RAM modules compatible with a range of Intel 700 series boards and would make an ideal selection for the current 13th-generation processors.
Corsair launched its first 48GB and 96GB memory kits last month but has now upgraded its speed to a faster 7000MT/s kit with 40-52-52-114 timings. Corsair’s new high-speed RAM kits run at 1.4V and support Intel XMP 3.0 for easy setup.
On the other hand, the Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 192GB kit will be running at a slower 5200MT/s speed with 38-38-38-84 timings on 1.25V and supports Intel XMP 3.0 as well.
The recent rise in hardware demand for games has also shifted the trend towards getting non-standard dual-channel RAM kits. AAA titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Returnal, and Forspoken now require 32GB RAM as recommended specs.
So a 48GB kit would be ideal for a high-end PC platform to handle games and other demanding tasks in the background.
A hardware enthusiast, MEGAsizeGPU recently got his hand on the Corsair VENGEANCE 48GB kit with 5600MT/s. He was able to boot successfully on an Asus ROG Strix B650-E motherboard even though there is no official support from the AMD side, at least for the new non-standard kits.
Still, AMD does support up to 128GB of memory, so it should not be an issue, at least for kits rated at lower speeds. However, we won’t be sure if AMD would be compatible with the new 7000MT/s kits from Corsair.
