Blizzard Entertainment has released Diablo Immortal– a long-awaited game – on June 2, 2022, for Mobile devices. The game has been making headlines since its release, but not for the right reasons.

While Diablo Immortal is an entirely new Diablo franchise free-to-play mobile game. The game has recently been engulfed in controversy due to its micro-transaction approach, which has enraged the community and is one of the main reasons Diablo Immortal has made headlines.

Activision Blizzard has announced that Diablo Immortal has become the most successful game in the Diablo franchise’s history. The company is tying this milestone to the fact that the game has surpassed 10 million downloads in a week, which is understandable given the game’s free nature.

While the game has received much attention and Diablo Immortal is the biggest launch in franchise history with millions of downloads in just one week, the community’s main issues are still not addressed.

On the other side of story, Diablo Immortal holds another record for being the company’s worst-rated game, with a user score of 0.2 out of 10 on Metacritic at the time of writing, based on an average of 1316 reviews.

So, while Activision Blizzard takes delight in the number of free game downloads, you mainly hear complaints about the game’s Pay-to-Win mechanisms, where there is a lot of game material that is only accessible by playing diablo Immortal is the biggest launch in franchise history in just one week, Diablo Immortal is the biggest launch in franchise history in just one week and that would take years to obtain with the game money.

Diablo Immortal Rating

Suppose you are unaware of how awful the Diablo immortal title’s microtransactions model is and how painful it is to play. In that case, it currently costs a whopping $110,000 to max out your character.

We previously reported that Diablo Immortal director Wyatt Cheng has come forth and claimed that the game does not sell gear, dismissing the claims entirely. Diablo Immortal uses legendary jewels, which must be purchased to raise the tier of your character. Along with conventional gear and XP level, they are one of the three pillars of a character’s advancement.

They determine one’s endgame-tier progression beyond what is possible by reaching Diablo Immortal’s level cap. Legendary Games, which are exclusively available through particular monetization techniques in the game, are no longer available to F2P users. It’s like the director intentionally ignores the fact that gems are used to upgrade and purchase better gear.

Furthermore, the worst thing is that the developers have completely ignored the issue, with hundreds of individuals complaining even in the 10 million download tweet.

It’s strange to see Diablo Immortal hit the ten million download mark, as the game is on the verge of failing if the microtransaction regulations aren’t addressed.

There is yet to be an official statement or announcement on the issues, and it will only be a matter of time before the fans are tired of waiting and abandoning the ship. We genuinely hope Blizzard Entertainment is working on something significant to make a comeback.

This is one of those rare occasions where it feels appropriate to say that Diablo Immortal is the best and worst-performing title.

What are your thoughts on Diablo Immortal? Have you tried it? Do you think it is as pay-to-win as people claim?
