Enermax Joins ATX 3.0 PSU Standard With Its Revolution Series

Enermax has also become one of the manufacturers offering the new ATX 3.0 standard power supply. The company launched two new models based on its Revolution series, including a 1000W and 1200W power supply.

ATX 3.0-supported power supplies were launched after the release of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series to support the new PCIe 16-pin power connector. Unlike other companies, Enermax has included two pairs of 16-pin 12VHPWER cables in the box, giving them a competitive advantage.

Enermax revolution ATX 3.0

The Enermax Revolution ATX 3.0 models include the ERA1000EWT (1000W) and ERA1200EWT (1200W). Enermax Revolution ATX 3.0 series is a mid-ranged option offering 80Plus Gold Efficiency.

Other higher-end models will be introduced later, including MaxTitan and Platimax. Being a new competitor, it’s always better to play it safe, and Enermax has done just that while going with a more affordable option to enter the market.

The Enermax Revolution ATX 3.0 series offers a compact size of 150mm long while supporting a large 135mm fan. The power supply is also cooled passively till the load reaches 30%.

The 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors can be connected via the 12+4 pin slot or the 2×8-pin slot. It’s only recommended to use the 2×8-pin cable for mid-ranged cards like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060.

The max-rated power draw of the 2×8-pin slot is only 300 W, making it more suitable for cards that come under that requirement. For cards like the GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080, it’s recommended to use the 12+4 pin slot, which is ideal for cards that need up to 600 W of power.

The Enermax Revolution ATX 3.0 series are available on Newegg and Amazon at $230 for the 1000W model and $250 for the 1200W model.
