Can DLC Save The Game?

Since Forspoken’s release, many have been disappointed as the game did not meet expectations. Even Square Enix confirmed that the game fell short of expectations and was a commercial failure.

A DLC for the game called In Tanta We Trust was also revealed before the launch of Forspoken, and following the game’s disappointing debut, many are hoping the DLC can address some of the game’s shortcomings.

Now the release date for Forspoken’s In Tanta We Trust DLC has been officially revealed, and the DLC is coming on May 26, 2023, for the PS5 and PC, with the deluxe owners of the game receiving it three days early on May 23.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust was initially scheduled for release in winter 2022. However, after the game’s delay, the DLC’s release date was changed to spring 2023.

This new DLC will serve as a prequel to the main game, taking place 25 years after the events of Forspoken. In this DLC, Frey is accompanied by Tanta Cinta and has a new set of magical abilities to save Athia in the battle that drove the Tantas to madness.

Fans can expect the traditional Forspoken gameplay, with more variety in combat and level design. As such, the DLC sounds intriguing and could help bring some much-needed positive attention to the game.

We look forward to the release of Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust. Forspoken’s recent patch also addressed a few of the problems on PC, and the DLC could bring even further improvements to the overall experience.
