The upcoming mainstream offerings from Nvidia, including the GeForce RTX 4050 and RTX 4060, are spotted on EEC based on the registry request of a Chinese graphics card manufacturer.
The Chinese company named Shangke Group has made a listing that owns two manufacturers named Soyo and MaxSun. Currently, only three Nvidia variants are listed on the EEC, including the GeForce RTX 4070, GeForce RTX 4050, and GeForce RTX 4060.
The EEC listing does not hold significant importance, though it does point out that the AIB partners are aware of Nvidia’s following cards in the GeForce RTX 40-series lineup.
Nvidia will probably launch the GeForce RTX 4070 first, followed by GeForce RTX 4060 and then GeForce RTX 4050, which is how it usually goes. Furthermore, there is no update regarding the much-rumored GeForce RTX 4060 Ti; maybe Nvidia has no plans to launch it before the non-Ti RTX 40-series, at least for the mainstream graphics cards.
There is no information on how well the cards will perform, though we had previously revealed that GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is based on AD-106 GPU with performance equal to GeForce RTX 3070 and a total rated board power of 160W.
If all these speculations are true, then it would put the GeForce RTX 4060 much closer to the performance of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and even lower power requirements, maybe 120W. As for the GeForce RTX 4050, the card is based on Nvidia AD-107 GPU with a 128-bit bus interface, but that’s about it.
In the end, it all comes down to how Nvidia would price these mainstream cards since it has received much backlash after the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti launch. In the entire GeForce RTX 40-series lineup, only the GeForce RTX 4090 looks like a bargain, even though it’s priced much higher than every other card.
