Hi-Fi Rush Coming March 19!

Story Highlights
  • Hi-Fi Rush has been leaked for the PS5, and it’s releasing on March 18.
  • This game is one of the three titles Phil Spencer announced would be going multi-platform.
  • Meanwhile, Grounded and Pentiment have been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch.

Update:

Following the leak, Xbox has shared an updated wire post. The gaming giant has announced all games for PlayStation with official release dates.

  • Hi-Fi Rush – March 19 PS5
  • Sea of Thieves – April 30 PS5
  • Pentiment – February 22 PS5/Nintendo Switch
  • Grounded – April 16 PS5/Nintendo Switch

Original Story:

After much speculation, the Xbox-exclusive Hi-Fi Rush has been announced for the PlayStation 5. While rumors suggested that an announcement would arrive later, it seems Bethesda’s YouTube channel has uploaded the announcement video ahead of time.

Why it matters: Hi-Fi Rush will find millions of new players on PlayStation, possibly helping Tango Gameworks greenlight a sequel this year.

Hi-Fi Rush will be available on the PlayStation 5 as early as March 18.

The announcement became official due to a video on the Bethesda LATAM channel. However, the trailer has already been delisted. More than anything, this confirms that the announcement is genuine.

Earlier today, Grounded and Pentiment were confirmed as multi-platform releases. However, these games are headed to the Nintendo Switch, as announced during the latest Nintendo Partner Direct.

Therefore, three of the four games that Phil Spencer revealed are now officially going to rival platforms. This leaves Sea of Thieves, and considering how fast the other titles are being rolled out, this pirate adventure will likely be made available everywhere shortly.

Hi-Fi Rush Features A Vibrant & Energetic Style

The announcement of multi-platform games comes after Phil Spencer held a business update to reveal Microsoft’s new model. He confirmed that Starfield and Indiana Jones would not be coming to PlayStation.

Still, he left room for a potential change of plans in the future.

Hi-Fi Rush was a shadow drop on Xbox and shattered everyone’s expectations. Garnering some of the best reviews in 2023, this release was Microsoft’s best-rated first-party game of the year. Therefore, it will likely serve as a great title on PlayStation in 2024.
