Another Timed Exclusive Could Come To Xbox!

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was first released over two years ago. Ember Lab, developers behind the game, partnered with SIE for a PlayStation exclusivity deal, which meant that the title never made it to Xbox consoles.

While audiences expected the game to remain on PlayStation, developer Ember Lab has hinted at an Xbox release in a recent tweet.

Why it Matters: Kena: Bridge of Spirits is the first and only game by Ember Lab. Upon launch, the game was positively met by fans and critics alike, and many Xbox fans have wanted to try the title since then.

In response to a fan asking about the game’s release on Xbox consoles, developer Ember Lab replied:

“Never Give Up.”

Previously, games like Yakuza Kiwami 2 and more were released on Xbox platforms years after their PlayStation releases. Games with exclusivity deals, like Stray, are also expected to release on Xbox later this year.

As such, Kena: Brdige of Spirits may follow a similar trend, coming to PlayStation’s rival platform at some point.

While replying to another fan, the developer said they do not have any plans for the game’s Xbox announcement soon but told the fan to keep the notifications on just in case they do.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits follows a young protagonist named Kena, who aids the deceased in their journey from the physical world to the realm of the dead while combating evil spirits. It is set in a fictional world inspired by Japan, and the third-person open-world game also incorporates puzzle elements.

The game also won several awards, including Best Independent Indie Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards.
