God of War is one of those Sony IPs that are popular for their cinematic and gameplay quality. And despite Atreus and others being annoying during puzzle sequences in GoW Ragnarok, the title largely lived up to the fans’ expectations.

Its success has made players quick to jump at every little rumor that pops its head in the community. Now, even the Kratos actor had to step in to debunk one of them.

A statement made by Christopher Judge caused fans to think that multiple God of War reveals were on the way. He said the next two weeks were ‘chock-full of announcements,’ finishing his message with the classic Kratos ‘Boy!’ catchphrase.

Why it matters: Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge tackling the ongoing God of War rumors has calmed down the excited community. No GoW-related announcements appear to be planned for the near future.

However, Christopher Judge took to Twitter to clarify that he was not talking about the God of War franchise at all. He will indeed be making announcements in the next two weeks, but they are not related to Santa Monica’s Magnum Opus in any way.

Chris is also apparently waiting for GoW updates from the studio, like the rest of the community. Regardless, what he will announce still remains unclear.

Some fans think his announcements might be related to one of Santa Monica’s new unannounced projects, but all that remains to be seen.

The debunking suggests that another God of War game might take years to release.

All in all, the rumor started from a misunderstanding of how fans interpreted Chris’ initial words. So, take any GoW speculations with a pinch of salt until Sony or Santa Monica Studio officially confirms them.
