Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 launched just six days back, and it’s already selling below the recommended price in some countries like France and Germany.
In Mindfactory, you can find a custom GeForce RTX 4060, an MSI Ventus 2x Black OC, for 310.39 euros. On the other hand, the same graphics card in France has some coupons to reduce its price to 309 euros.
The recommended price for GeForce RTX 4060 was 329 euros; we are talking about a price reduction of 6 percent after six days of its launch, which is a significant discount.
In any case, Geforce RTX 3060 Ti is a better option. GeForce RTX 3060 Ti custom can be found for 299 euros. We are talking about the RTX 4060 being 4% more expensive, but it is also less powerful.
Specifically, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is 11% more powerful at Full HD resolution. At 2K resolution, this margin increases up to 15%. Although neither is a recommended graphics card for playing at 2K, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, thanks to its high bandwidth, continues to expand its margin by offering 20% more performance.
So with a new graphics card, you’re paying more for less performance. Sure, as long as we’re not discussing a game supporting NVIDIA DLSS 3 technology. Although there is also the criticism that higher performance is evident when frames are created from scratch. In essence, without any upscaling technology or with DLSS, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is the best option for performance or price.
NVIDIA will have a lot of trouble selling these GPUs because of the price. As long as the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is in the market, there is no place for RTX 4060 at the current price. What are your thoughts about GeForce RTX 4060 launch price and its performance?
