No Exclusive Content For Xbox!

Recently Phill Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft gaming, has talked about what the Activision Blizzard deal is going through. The company wants to make the same version of Call of Duty available on all the platforms.

The game released on any other platform, including Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, will feature the same content. Moreover, Phill has also clarified that no privileges, such as skins and missions, will be available exclusively to Xbox players.

He said:

“…It’s not about a skin on a gun, it’s about a certain mode of the game, the same version will be available on all platforms.

If you’re a Minecraft player on PlayStation I don’t think you feel like you have the lesser version…

we want to make sure those players feel like they have a great experience on the platform they choose to play on.

Phill then went on about wanting Xbox to become a platform; to accomplish that, he would need the Activision Blizzard deal to succeed. We can’t be sure what will happen with the deal as Google and Nvidia were also concerned over this deal.

To protect the deal, Microsoft even went to such lengths to claim that FTC’s approach to Activision was unconstitutional, and since then, things have been heated up. The EU regulators have extended the deadline to decide on the deal to April 26th, so hopefully, we will hear a decision on this date.

Aside from that, what do you think of this move by Phill Spencer? Do you believe the Activision Blizzard deal will favor him on April 26th? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
