Sold 1 Million Copies In Just 3 Days!

Story Highlight
  • Silent Hill 2 Remake sold over 1 million copies in just 3 days.
  • This is a great achievement for a title that received a lot of criticism at the initial reveal.
  • This milestone also makes it the fastest-selling game in the series.

There are tons of games in the Silent Hill franchise, but the best ones, of course, range from 1-4. The last part didn’t really click with the fandom, but the first 3 were pretty great. So, the Silent Hill franchise is one of the best horror game series, if not the best.

The old generation has enjoyed titles from this franchise a lot. Recently, Konami released the remake of Silent Hill 2, which received excellent reception from both the fandom and critics. Not only that, but it became the fastest-selling game in the series

Why it matters: The remake was first criticized, but the Bloober Team improved it a lot, and the reception on launch was quite different.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Milestone
The Silent Hill 2 Remake Is Now The Fastest-Selling Title In The Series

Recently, Konami announced that the Silent Hill 2 remake has sold 1 Million copies in just 3 days. It is pretty impressive for a remake of a game that is older than 2 decades to reach this milestone and receive such a reception from the fans.

Makes it the fastest selling Silent Hill game by far, & certainly not bad for a PS5/PC exclusive releasing for a long dormant IP.

Dusk Golem, a horror game enthusiast and a reliable insider, revealed that this remake is actually, by far, the fastest-selling title in the series. This is a pretty solid achievement, and the Silent Hill 2 remake deserves it.

The game launched to over 23K players on Steam and with over 95% positive reviews. After witnessing such a great remake, fans started to demand the remakes of Silent Hill 1 and 3

Bloober Team recently revealed that it is open to making more remakes or new entries in the franchise, which has gotten the fandom excited. Hopefully, we will get to see more entries in the series, especially some more remakes.
