The Warhammer franchise has been around for quite some time. While its audience wasn’t huge, it has always had a very loyal fan base. But, it was only with the launch of Space Marine 2, that Warhammer opened to a wider audience.

Thanks to Space Marine 2, Focus Entertainment has managed to earn a massive revenue of $217 Million in sales, leading to a huge 4 times increase compared to last year’s results.

Why it matters: Space Marne 2 was the 10th biggest Steam launch for 2024. In addition, it also managed to hit a peak of over 220K concurrent players, becoming the biggest game in the franchise along with mostly positive reviews on Steam.

Space Marine 2 led to a massive increase in revenue

There were more than a few reasons for the success of the game. For one, it captured the true essence of the classical games in the genre, which is an automatic key to success. Plus, it was overall a very well-executed game, especially fun in co-op.

Due to the success, Focus Entertainment has already announced plans for DLC and a sequel. If the studio can deliver more of the same, we are sure they’ll be able to capture even more audiences with their future titles.
