Stalker 2 one of the most if not the most anticipated titles this year will be released in just a couple of hours. The game is currently sitting at the best-seller spot on Steam, which shows a lot of promise.

The review embargo has finally been lifted now and the game has scored a 76 score on Metacritic with some reviews singing praises of it while others criticize it for performance issues.

Why it matters: Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been delayed multiple times but now that the reviews are finally out it seems like the delays were worth it.

One of the reviewers mentioned that the game fits perfectly into the narrative of an FPS which is pretty tough given the competition. The details have been highly praised as they seem realistic thanks to the Unreal Engine 5.

The open world, weather system, and almost every single detail have also seen praise from different reviewers. One of the reviews highlighted how great the sound system is. So, fans who have been waiting for the game for a long time are in for a treat.

As you would already know there are survival horror elements in the game so it is going to be a terrifying experience as well. Reviews have pointed out that while the environment is breathtaking it can be terrifying at times with the jump scares.

While there are many positives some reviewers have highlighted severe performance issues, bugs, and glitches that ruined their experience. It seems like some reviewers have cut the score for it being too unforgiving and brutal.

All in all, it seems like GSC Game World has done a wonderful job on the game but it needs a massive update to fix all of the problems.
