Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Officially Delayed To 2024

Now Coming In February 2024!

Rocksteady was set to return to the gaming industry in 2023 after eight whole years since Batman Arkham Knight. With a long list of successful Arkham games to the developer’s name, fans were excited to learn more about Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The game was featured at the latest PlayStation State of Play in February, with over 10 minutes of new gameplay, developer interviews, and more. However, the footage failed to impress fans, not reaching the high bar set by previous Rocksteady games.

This was followed by the controversy surrounding the game’s focus on live-service elements. Fans also learned that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would require an active internet connection at all times, which only added to the disappointment.

Last month, rumors claimed that Rocksteady was looking to delay the game to Q3 2023 or 2024. However, this was not confirmed by the developers until recently. Rocksteady has now officially announced a delay for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

As seen above, the game is now scheduled for February 2, 2024. This is nearly a year-long delay for a game that has already faced delays in the past.

Previously, many had hoped that a delay could fundamentally change the game’s mechanics and live-service approach. However, this always seemed too good to be true.

Rocksteady’s announcement implies that the developer has decided to delay the game for polish rather than a new direction. This could mean that gameplay will be refined, but Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League might not address the gaming industry’s grievances with the title.

Nonetheless, the delay should ultimately help the game out. It remains to be seen if Rocksteady will manage to impress audiences after the delay, but the developer is looking forward to sharing more information soon.
