As we all know, the Xbox and Bethesda showcase is just one month away, and there have been a lot of rumors and predictions about what titles will be shown or unveiled at this event on June 12th. While the Xbox and Bethesda expo is bound to feature some surprises, we do have some exciting news about Xbox and Bethesda, including the possibility that they are working on multiple Disney-based IPs.

As we all know, Wolfenstein creator MachineGames (Owned by Xbox Games Studios confirmed in January 2021 that it is working on a fresh new Indiana Jones game. There is no general release date yet, which is likely to be revealed in the upcoming event. However, it’s possible that Indiana Jones isn’t the only game that Xbox and Bethesda are working on, as new information suggests that they’re working on multiple licensed Disney IPs.

A Twitter user asked Joey McDermott if he thinks ZeniMax (Owned by Microsoft Now) obtained any additional licensees from Disney before the buyout other than Indiana Jones, to which Joey McDermott responded that Xbox and Bethesda have multiple Disney Licensed Projects in the works.

We don’t know much about Joey McDermott, so this could be something he speculated. Still, Joey McDermott later clarified that it wasn’t a guess and that he got the information from an old source who correctly predicted the deal completion date and “Welcome to the family” roundtable event in January 2021, months before it happened.

As proven by the numerous Disney Xbox games that have been launched, such as Disney Infinity 3.0, Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, and so on, Disney has a long history with video games. If the information provided by the Twitter user is correct, it indicates that Xbox and Bethesda are planning some major surprises for us. Following the Twitter exchange, fans speculate that Xbox and Bethesda could be working on some Marvel projects, given Marvel’s recent success.

Nonetheless, take this information with a grain of salt as Joey Mcdermott’s source could be proven wrong at any point. What are your thoughts about it? Do you think Xbox and Bethesda working on Disney-licensed IPs? What Popular IPs are Xbox & Bethesda working on?
